Child labor

Friends Erik and Theo wanted to make a new exhaust on Eriks chop, but started drinking at noon. After a while these lazy bastards decided to let their sons do the works. Looks better this way...

Work to do

On the ride to Portugal this summer the original gasket (of course!) of my wife's chop stopped doing what a gasket normaly do... Can you imagine how her chop looks like when we came home }-) So saturday i changed the old one for a new. I took out the rearwheel, the sissy and the fender. After that the swingarm and the batterybox. From that point i could loosen the engine from the frame, move it and take of the valve cover to change te gasket. I love choppers..... C.F.L.

Bob or not, that's the question...

I bought myself an original liberator from '42. I want to 'bob it' a little..., but if i find pics like this. Very sweet indeed...

Swapmeet

Ferry

Bakker (middle) and Willem (right) on the ferry. Willem is the man who always wants to go with the ferry. If there is any reason to go with a boat Willem has it. "There is no trip without a boattrip...!!" So if we make a trip through Europe that's what we do.

Sad but true....

ZZ Chopper Tjebbe send me an e-mail with this pics of my old XS650. In a previous posting i posted a pic of my first chop. Tjebbe recognized the bike and the rest is history.

Wow

Dig this.

Pan

Now this is a sidecar.

Finland

Eleven years ago we drove to the superrally in Finland. One of the most beautifull trips i've made. Together with Willem, Jos and Bakker. Lost a camera, a wedding ring and a carburator, had more road maintenance, a couple of times running out of gas, crashed a bike into a ships fire-extinguisher, lots of kilometers, four times on the ferry drinking and partying. One of the best superrally's. Good times.

Polish

Theo's homemade bar is white(!), he did some little things and he bought a new saddle. Not covered with some beautifull soft leather but just aluminum. Unpolished. "My ass will polish it on the way to Greece" he said.... Now thats the spirit!

XS 650

Found this pic in my garage. My first bike, long time ago... Somewhere in the early ninetees. I did'nt knew it was a f*cking highneck! What did i knew anyway...?

Sunny day

Sometimes you cannot wait to see her in the sunshine. Ready by far but oh yeah.

Work in progress VIII

Made a sissybar with numberplate and taillight today. Seventies cool.

New bar

Theo made himself a new bar, mind the coole risers.

Work in progress VII

Preparing for fender and sissybar.

Burn it

A couple of weeks ago in Holland. Don't need your tires in the wintertime anyway.
